What is a VPS?
A physical server can be 'partitioned' into multiple sections that operate independently from each other. These partitioned sections are Virtual Private Servers or VPSs. Each VPS has its own operating system, typically Linux or Windows, and is managed independently using a control panel. The user has complete access and control of the VPS, can install and run other software on the VPS and all data stored on the VPS is isolated and secure from other VPSs housed on the same physical server. A VPS is a very effective and economical way of having your own private server.
